The building fronts an old commercial street and runs the full width of the block, with small houses from the early 20th century behind it.
At the front, it takes cues from the shopping street. There are variations in parapet height and building profile, brick colour, bay window placement and storefront treatment - instead of one consistent expression across the block. At the side and rear, the building steps down to ease the transition in scale from main street to side street.
There are 5 floors of bachelor and one and two bedroom rental apartments above at-grade retail space and communal functions.
